Archon99

Archon99 is a game based on the NES game Archon.

It's a turn-based game like chess, but with battles between pieces that have different types of attacks, speeds, and health for tactical combat.

Modes

Normal mode lets you choose up to 4 pieces to start a roguelike arcade mode.

Custom mode is a versus mode where you can choose from 4 different factions with different pieces, following the classic Archon format.

Practice mode is a level-based mode.

If you want to play with a joystick, you have to enable Players P1 in the player settings to have a pointer.

Otherwise, you can use the mouse and keyboard. Press the Spacebar to attack and W, A, S, and D to move.

I wrote the code from scratch, but the sprites were generated because I'm not very skilled at pixel art.
